This week I find myself in need of courage. Courage to dream. Courage to try. The best source is God's Word. I'm sharing that with you. I must follow David's example:
|1Samuel 30:6||And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.|
Deuteronomy 31:6 ESVBe strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
2 Timothy 1:7 ESVFor God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Joshua 1:9 ESVHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Proverbs 28:1 ESVThe wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.
John 16:33 ESVI have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Lord God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.
Psalm 27:14 ESVWait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Lord commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Fear not; do not be dismayed.
Mark 5:36 ESVBut overhearing what they said, Jesus said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not fear, only believe.”
Psalm 31:24 ESVBe strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!
Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people took confidence from the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
